Inspiration – movie: 10 things I hate about you
I hate the way you talk to me and the way you wear your hair.
I hate the way you express yourself, I hate it when you amaze me.
I hate your leather jacket, and the way you read my mind.
I hate you so much it makes me sick, it even makes me write.
I hate it.
I hate the way you always agree with me.
I hate it when you share my point of view.
I hate it when you lie.
I hate when you make me laugh,
even worse when you make me cry.
I hate it when you’re not around,
and the fact that you didn’t call.
But mostly I hate the way I no longer love you.
Not even close,
not even a little bit,
not even at all.
Because of all the things I’ve learned to hate about you,
I’ve unlearned to love you.
My love for you extinguished,
like trees in a wildfire.
It burned down over time,
until no tree was left standing.
Now, I no longer love the things I hate about you,
but I hate the things I loved about you.
